On the occasion of Internet Day, on 17 May, a conference on the rights of the child on the internet took place in the main hall of the Abat Oliba University. José María Guerra Mercadal, president of Euralva, participated in a round table moderated by the Director General of INCIBE, Alberto Hernández, in which Antonio Vargas (Google), María José Cantarino (Telefónica) and Unicef , among others.
Guerra advocated integrating users into all areas of discussion and decision-making around the audiovisual sector, in order to take into account their real needs and thus seek more effective measures. It is necessary a public-private partnership that takes into account all the agents linked to the defense of the child on Internet and allows to carry out initiatives with a qualitative criteria and not merely economic.
